I got it... Shout out to Rhode Alliance Hot Rods and Customs (RAC Garage) for passing me the info. For group reference 34 1/4in center to center 30-31 Ford Coupe A-pillar mounting holes. From that I'll center my cowl on my table top...align the firewall center to match that a-pillar center and I'm off to the races. If your looking for some quality fabrication videos OR some work on your car.......This guy can do it! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDkRinBNnYiDDGx_fAsdrHg
Handy little piece of kit....Blind Fastener got me a newly established mounting point for this piece of cowl trim. Both right and left bolts had been broke off deep back in the day.
After much consideration... I've decided to attach the coupe roof sides with the aid of a flange. My idea is the flange could give me some adjustability down the road as I dial in pulling in the top and all....while it'll initially be bolted on to the existing sport coupe flange....I'll go back and weld the two together when I'm happy all the upper panels are behaving. No doubt this is extra work....but I'm taking an approach that will hopefully be less committed and the flange is going to allow me more control of a less than pressteen top and lower quarters... Im thinking. Last pic still not quite around the mountain.... more shrink! More Cowbell!
Trudging along with IBC.. Thought it would be easier to sell being channeled and braced off better inside. Saw someone on YT doing a channel with bent 14ga... I'm attempting to graft in some scraps to make it a little less obvious.
Decided the b pillar and lower area needed to get some attention today. A little tweaking remains for tomorrow and weld. Mid day thru I decided to price one to see how much I was saving by doing it myself. Ha, ha Was a great learning opportunity! I'm still pretty green to this stuff but you tube kept me outta the woods.
Thanks fellas...and one step begets another.....im moving on to hammer forming some B pillers today to achieve an artistic/structural frame work above. Added the step so the quarter will nest in like original. More to follow.
