Introducing: Motor Speedway NJ

Looks too good to be true......i have one of my dads lyndwoods.. Blown 392 direct drive.....nothing new, neat old car, runs good, will smoke the tires, and a lot of fun.....not interested in seeing how fast it will go... That was done in 1960. Wow Bob.... sounds way cool! There are a lot of Lynwood guys poppin up. Looks we are going to do a little reunion soon... Can't wait!

 

Getttin more and mroe stoked for this! Vintage cars, drgasters and period correct swapmeet!

Sorta glad to hear I didn't miss too much at the swap meet, though I enjoy buying bolt and rocks and walking around looking at the crazy stuff goin on.

I will be parking in the "normal" lot and walking over as my modern vehicle will be bringing me. Looking forward to maybe finding something to work on and participate.

 

Every day I get more excited! Heading out the door now to work all day.

I'm basically moving my whole operation out there. So as I buy early Fords... I'll probable keep them out at the track for people looking for projects.

I have a sweet 32 sedan body... chopped perfect, ready to go. I also will be starting a 30 sedan project on 32 rails again. Rolling Bones guys were to busy, so I got some work through them indirectly. Gonna be neat!

I have a few friends with some early Fords for sale... so we'll have them out there at some point too. Gonna build us a mini Hershey... for hot rodders!!!

I also hope to buy a hanger for myself, bring the vintage English wheels, welders, tools, etc. We are for sure... are going to need a workshop.
I've talked with a few friends too like Fay Butler that would love to come out and give seminars or just shoot the shit. So much to learn... too little time!

Man, I'm working round the clock... I was suppose to be in Rhinebeck set up with a table, but decided to stay home and get more work done today...head out tomorrow.

Building the big screen this week! Bar...N is almost finished.

Pretty excited, I set up a ring road so we can actually cruise around the bar, past the drive in screen, and circle around so people can find their friends, take girls for a ride, scan for parts, check out cars parked, people hanging...

I have another something huge coming too... can't tell yet, gotta get this up and running 1st. It involves, Bass... not the builder, live music, snuggling, etc. Same place, hidden location.

Just got wind of this secret spot myself... coming soon!!!

 

So I should bring some poles and bait?

Man this gets more and more exciting all the time! Everyone definitely owes you a round for setting this up.

 

Was just reading this thread over and saw one of the first posts with the casino skatepark videos, WOW.. still have a clear picture of the bowl in my head (the windows that surrounded it where amazing.) My parents still to this day wonder how i put almost a hundred thousdand miles on my car the first year driving..while attending highschool and working thanks to Casino and Eatontown rollerink is how. Tell those guys to build a ramp. cant wait to check this out. Brian

So Rhinebeck was cool... saw 37 Kid... great guy, my buddy Ace from Pa, all my older 32 buds, my Pal Rick, bunch of Hamb friends...

Met up with all the NY chapters of AMCA too... We Oiler gals will be up at there Antique Motorcycle show with all our cars, banger exibit, Motor Speedway stuff, 1945 Casting co. etc., can't wait... they are some great guys with some seriously cool old bikes.

So, I figured I'd tell you bout the Vintage Motorcycle event coming to Motor Speedway in July. The 11th, show and go!

Weather really has F'ed us, but if that wasn't enough.... are two main guys helping at the track had a major illness day or two ago... They are ok... but not able to work, may be a few weeks out as suggested by docotors...
One of these gents just can't be replaced with all the action happening. I'll find out today more of their status.... only know a little myself.

I am so sorry guys... I can't believe this has happend. I will be out there all day Saturday working... as that is my plan for the next few months till this place is pure KILLER for us all.
If anyone would like to come down, bench race, check the place out, etc., I'll have FREE cold beers for you...
I work all day building.... and paint all morning and night! Pretty tired, but loving every second of it.
I wish I could fill you in on the severity of their illness to assure you this is a serious matter, but I'd like to keep it private. I just wish these guys well... Not the Swine Flu.

We will resume with our following date May 22nd and 23rd as the kick off! More time to get them motors ready!!! I hope you all understand.... I so hate this!

bummer! Lets see what the weather brings for Sat if i'm gonna roll down and help a brother out. 3 hours in the rain with no windows becomes a wet ride and I don't have a spaceship to ride down in. lol.. Mom crashed her car so she is using my spaceship till we get her a new one. love ya' mel!

I'm so freaking bummed I can't tell you. Makes me feel like a failure... although weather and illness are outta my control. I do promise to make the May 22nd bigger and better!

Just talked to a few pals that can't make the 22nd 23 date.... man I'm pissed! There is some pretty cool stuff showing up... Tha Shadow....is nuts, his buddies as well. EJ Kawolki was bringing his Bonneville car, Ijectors belly tank, list goes on.

Get em ready boys!!! Just blew the motor in my 34 too....fuggggg!
