  1. damn I never did this.. did I????????? well I guess I better before I get my ass chewed out for never doing it. wellllll boys & girls i'm just a 48yr old beer drinking, partying type of guy who loves his cars & trucks. I dont care who made them or what kind they are, i love them all. I can thank my dad for starting me on this road but when my buddy Randy back in 69-70 asked me if I could help him w/his 57 chevy nomad it kicked in to overdrive. I couldnt get enuff of them, thats why the screen name & that how many cars & trucks i have owned in the past 30+ years. most of my stuff has been street rods & street machines, but then I have had my share of the import cars also, mostly VW's, damn I had so many of those I lost count.
over the past 15-20yrs its been mostly street rods for me but i do love those old school rides that most of you folks have. I love it when i get to go to a couple of older guys houses when they work on thier rides, these guys have been building them for over 50yrs & know thier shit. hell one guy has the 1st custom he ever built, a 32 LaSalle. its the one time i enjoy being the gopher for the wrenchers, since I am learning from some of the old dogs.
i have had my share of rides over the past, 3- 40 chevy 4doors, 47 ford 1 ton flatbed, 49 dodge p/u, 51-52-53-54 ford p/u's, 50 packard, bunches of VW's of all kinds, 62-63-64-65-67-68-70 nova's, a shit load of caddy's, one of my favorites was my 66 lincoln 4 door hell i only gave $50 for that ride & all it needed was a battery & fan belts. &&& now i'm putting together a 48 1 ton chevy school bus its sitting on a stretched s10 frame that will be boxed & will be running a 350/700R4 combo that i got out of a rust bucket of 87burb. i'm going to try to use everything i can from it so cost are kept down (can ya tell i'm cheap [IMG]), I have already dissected the wiring harness to rid myself of all circuits i dont need, stretched & boxed the frame, & have a ford 9inch under it. I'm hoping that sometime this summer that the beast will be awaken after its 30yr sleep and once again cruz the hi-ways & giving many years of fun....... sorry i didnt do this sooner, but shit happens & i figgered better late then never, & I will have to say, you folks have some of the BEST TECH TIPS on the web & you fuckers crack me up reading some of these post.. keep up the great work....joe
