I'd like to swap an automatic into my '52 L110, using the original 220 straight 6. Before I rip it apart, does anyone know if the bellhousing bolt pattern crosses to something common, or if there is an adapter kit to match the pattern? Since they used the FMX in later years on that motor, I was hoping it crossed to a Ford pattern, that makes things easier. Thanks.
They used a borg Warner trans not a fmx in the 1960's early 1970's, then 727 torqeflittes, bell bolt pattern is all IH. 1954 was the first auto for IH and it was like a hydromatic. The 6's and 8's have a different bolt pattern. The SD, BD, BG six's are from 1950 to 1968. No adapters for the six's that I know of.
