I walked around the Indy WoW last night and took some pix of the HAMB friendly car there. Nothing artistic, just point and shoot. Most of the pix are from the Road Rockets/'62 Motorama pavilion but there are also a few from the main halls as well. Definitely a better show than in the past few years.

Back out in the main pavilion with the gold chainers and the Mustang clubs there were some more nice cars.

I am going back to the show later today and may get some more shots of anything that is HAMB friendly.

I am sure Ross Racing built the engine for this car. Even though the valve covers say Lincoln, it's an OLds.

We went Saturday. The main show was mostly lame. There were some really cool musclecars, but a lot of ricers, lambo doors and 26" wheels.

The swap meet was pretty dismal. I had a nice little wad of cash earmarked for the car on me, and spent about 25 bucks.

But, the Road Rockets section made the whole thing worthwhile. Some very nice cars there.

Rooman, when I was approaching the "drag city" display in the main show, I spotted that green FED from behind, and said "I bet Rooman did that one."

musta missed ya,, I seen your brother but didnt talk to him.

not that any of ya paid any attention, but the red RED next to the green FED was one I built a looooong time ago.

Cool show, swap meet was a little light, but there were some treasures to be found, I got a Firestone Polonium spark plug from some wierd looking Dude along the back wall.

I've wanted one for a long time, think I'm gonna put it on my keychain and keep it in my pocket for good luck.:D

Rooman, curious what you are using for a "point and shoot"? Great looking shots.

I found it hard to take photos in that back room with my digital camera. After fooling with the settings a little, the shots were better but still a little dark and yellow looking.

Thanks for the coverage. Looks like alot of cool cars in the club. Will put it on the schedule for next year. It's only a 7 hour drive and a good way to break up the long winter.

Thanks for the props. I try to take basic shots that show the cars. I like the arty stuff but feel that a simple 3/4 view lets those who could not make the show get a better look at the cars. I shoot hand held without a flash and that accounts for the soft focus in some of the shots. I have been doing this for fun and semi professionally as a freelance journalist for about 45 years now.

Here are some more that I took on Saturday, dodging the fairly heavy turnout of fans. The first group is from the Motorama pavillion.

My brother's garage built 64 T'bird. He did it all himself, body paint, mechanical and upholstery. He built it for his wife who decided that it is too big for her so it is up for sale. She has a 57 Thunderbird now and is waiting for the ice and snow to go away so that she can drive it..
