Now that is what a neighborhood gas station is supposed to look like.
This is a photo I just made of a dentist's office in my town. So I'd guess it's still a "filling station".
I think it's probably late '50s, early '60s...........
You will be receiving death threats from the HAMB police for posting that post 65 photo. But I for one do appreciate the history. Thanks for posting. Judging from all the shop doors, it appears that selling fuel was a secondary source of revenue. As a side note, I would be a little cautious going to a facility which looks like that for dental care!

Would like to find a clear photo of this era of Texaco station.
That station looks a lot like Terry Courm's station in Liberty, MO.
This one is in Bismarck, Mo. My hometown. Some roofing company has it now and put siding and some sort of funky overhang on the front. Looks like crap!
They left out Ethyl!
