    I had the tie rod like yours with the wrong “Ackerman” and couldn’t drive on the street worth a damn. I left the steering rod in front like yours an finally swapped the tie rod arms facing to the rear and it was perfect. I had the tie rod right above the springs by using spacers. It never touched the frame with any kind of driving.

    This thread brings back memories for me my first car was a 55 ford fairlane 2 door sedan 272 3spd tan and white back in 1962.

    That Meteor would just as good if not better without all the custom touches IMO.

  20. This is a friend of mine's 56 Meteor ragtop. Liking these grilles (and Meteors in general) is absolutely subjective, because I like them just fine. Maybe because I'm Canadian, haha.
