  1. The day I get there, Jeremy, :D

My sheds that clean at the moment, it's almost embarrassing.
Course, there's not a lot of work being done in it either.

I CAN'T! I was 10 years old when I swapped the floor mats out of my Dad's month old 1961 Ford for that insert. I never bothered to ask if it was ok, it was my first '32 piece ever. That night at dinner Dad asked how my day went. I told him about the floor mat swap for the '32 grille. (Turned out he had replaced them with 4 individual mats to get rid of the tunnel hump.). His reply was "I always wanted a '32 3Window." He never got one but we had a lot of fun at shows and Hershey swap over the years. That insert is 84 years old and has hung on my wall for 55 years, nobody builds them slower.. Bob

Wait a second. If you were 10 years old when you made the swap and that was 55 years ago that makes you a geezer!!

  7. Bob, cool story on the insert.

I'm told you become a geezer when you turn fifty, so I'm a newbie geezer.
I'll keep an eye out for my T-shirt.

I am beginning to understand why you are a-scared of electricity. You saw Ben Franklin get zapped.

Getting as many items on wheels is the plan so I can move things around if need be, like the back of the Steelback. Those two large milk crates were filled with firewood, but it has been cold so they are empty now.

Lost my internet connection at the house, but I'm spending more time cleaning the basement. Found two great pieces for the Steelback that somehow got misplaced. Bob

Hey Bob, best way to test it is to touch it to the tip of your tongue.

  27. Doug,
Dad and I had a good friend from the Train Collector's Association, was a master electrician, and NEVER turned the power off to do electrical work- he'd lick his finger/thumb tips and tap the bare (knob and tube to modern) wires to find out which was live

Lionel transformer that I last used around 1966, I can stull remember the smell of burning insulation, never got an open flame but it did produce smoke. Would be nice to get the trains running for 2017. That is the misplaced cap for the Steelback next to it. DSCF5981.JPG
