Need some advice on ID'ing a Chevy clip that's installed on a 46 Ford frame. Kind of "found it" and want some details. It was under a 46 Coupe. It's a front steer, but I need more details, any one help me out? thanks

Camaro and s10 have front steer.

  5. Sounds like a 70's Camaro/73 and up Nova clip, but pics would verify!

64 and up Chevelle size cars, the previously mentioned 70 and later Camaros, G body cars, S-10.
The 72 and earlier Chevelles and cars of that body style had steering arms that bolted to the spindle while later versons had them as part of the spindle.
Drum brakes would be an indicator of the 72 and earleir Chevelle front end.
I think Nova went front steer in 73 when they went to the crash bumpers.

Do the upper A arm shafts have a bolt and washer on the ends or do they have a big nut on the ends?

....nope,...front steer began in 75 Novas & clones.

Ok, It's been a while since I worked on any of those and couldn't remember the year they changed.
