Great show (no photos) I was looking to see a Cadillac or Olds powered car. I guess those days are long gone. I'm sad.
So we are "just like that" to believe this was a great show . Unwritten hamb law pics or it didn't happen.
I stopped by Saturday morning. As suggested, not particularly H.A.M.B. friendly, but did see a couple cool things....... McCulloch supercharged flathead. Nicely built flathead powered pickup.
That so called flathead powered pickup isn’t even a T Bucket. It’s a Shadowrods 27 T roadster pickup. They’re an enlarged version of a 27 T body
Not everyone is aware of the Shadow Rods offerings. There have been questions regarding that here from time to time.
At that one you would have to hunt pretty seriously to find anything remotely Hamb Friendly as Old School did. Still I'd rather see that Shadow rod at a T bucket event than see the butchered Model A sedan body on a T chassis that some guy who shows up at local shows swears is a 23 T and will argue with you if you even come close to saying it is a Model A. We obviously don't see much of those Shadow rods here but they seem popular with the billet street rod brigade who want more room as long as the body resembles a T to some degree. It looks like you can build a nice hot rod with one though.
Friday a whole bunch of T's lined the street's of Yarnell, AZ. Sorry, no pictures, but I just bet it was the same group. I too did not hear about the gathering and was headed home in the motorhome and didn't have the camera at ready.
It was a big enough group that they were standing room only at the dinner and pizza place most of the afternoon.
There are probably as many 59 Chevy 4 doors on the H.A.M.B. as there are traditional "T" Buckets. Really sad!
