Normally I would say to stick with the old school wheels, but on that ride, those five spokes look awesome.

Sorry I miss read your (from) Redsled and Metatflake60 and was thinking of the 4 door that I had to pretend to like. If it had been a Belair I wouldn't have had a problem.
    I like the old rims.

Wouldn't the late sixties be when someone would "fix-up" a 1960?

  6. So we should judge the "coolness" of our cars by their perceived value?

That's what collectors and "Gold Chainers" do, not hot rodders... so where do you fit in?

  8. Why would you waste your money on something like this. Back in the old days we would give you a bunch shit for drivin' something like this, and you would might even have got a noogie or a wedgie out of the deal. Not to mention little to no action for you. Golly-gee-willakers!

DUDE, What color is the sky in your world ????? Just who was it that proclaimed
sc to be ground zero for car culture? I know you guys from sc are cool (or think you are in your own minds) and This may come as a shock to you, but the guy asked about his wheel choice, nothing more!!! just an opinion on his wheels.... In the past i've dealt with people like you for about 30 seconds, nuff said.

I like both sets of wheels, your call.

Did I blink and 4 Door cars get shoved into the Rat Rod category? WTF??

I'm sure that you have gotten all the opinions that you can stand on your choice of wheels.
(as I stated earlier, I prefer the chrome ones)

Please close this thread and let's move on.

If it was a 2 door and a gasser, I'd use the mags.

The guy decided on the "mags" --- nothing else to see here.

Oh, four-doors make wonderful parts cars, restored "classics" and beaters. A very select few were always "cool," '60s Lincolns, leadsled style Mercs and a few four-door hardtops. But not for "hot rodding."

  16. strange....i'm not sure he ever called it a hot rod.....maybe a custom, or for the CA guys a Kustom!

    your a poop noodle!

  23. ya know i was thinking the same thing, but some times i enjoy doing it, they are already dead, so it's not like they are getting hurt. plus it tenderizes the meat! anyone up for a horse roast?
