I Need A Title!!!

thought a new to would be the best for this . I need to get a new title for a car. I bought a 1969 firebird from my buddy, who bought the car from someone in OHIO. The person last registered the car in 2000 (experation was 3-01) I have the plates. But the title burnt when my buddys house burnt down, he had never registered the car. What companys are avalible to help get a new title or locate the previous owner???

anyone used em or know about them?? or any others

Ive also heard of companys were you give them the vin# and they get you a new title are these for real?? even legal??
