I need a measurement, outside-to-outside, of a '48-'53 Caddy rear bumper................. It doesn't have to be exact, just close enough.............I just need to make sure that it'll fit on my car..........too wide is fine but too narrow might be a problem...........The rear of my car measures approx. 64 inches (if I remember correctly)..........

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Hey Tim, '48/'49 bumpers are different than '50-'53 Caddy bumpers...so, what have you got , I can get you a measurement on a '48...

Are the '48-'49 wider/ narrower? If so, any idea how much (approx.)?

I have some '48 caddy quarters that I am grafting (I say "I" but mean KingpinOlds) on to my '47 ford...........I plan on running a caddy bumper with them...........Once all's said and done they will measure about 64" side-to-side............. I'd prefer to run a '48 bumper.............Will a '50-'53 not work with the quarters? If not, that'd be REALLY GOOD to know..........

    Hope that makes sense.......

A 48 rear bumper is 66 inch to the center of the opening the fender peak fits in . They are 74 inch overall end to end.

    Thanks!

Do you know, what the difference is between the '48-'49 and the '50-'53 bumpers?
