It is a 1960 Ford Falcon. It is pretty much stock. It runs a drives but has a couple little things that are the PO did when he was sleeping or drunk. Anyway I am excited to start on it. Does anyone know where some good falcon tech would be found? Here are some pics. The interior is pretty good, unfortunately these are just seat covers.
Lot's of falcon's on here and threads about them. Use the search button in the top right corner. Good luck
The plan is just to getting running like a top and use it to cruise it around town. I have searched this board and found some good info but I was just checking to see if these was an early falcon specific site. I will keep searching, though. It has a "limited edition" tag on the back, what does that include? what would make it a "limited edition" ?
first, resist the urge to "stuff a big block in it". second, while the HAMB has lots of Falcons, the TFFN has more Falcon-specific info for you. third, Falcons (although i love the hell out of them) were NEVER any kind of "limited edition" car; Ford pumped those puppies out like mad. fourth: welcome to Falcon ownership. you'll either develop a love for them, or grow to hate them.
I don't want to stuff a big block in it. I want to keep the strait six, give it a better stance, and drive it. I will probably paint it also, I am not a big fan of the blue.
Nice ride and you wont need much info because there really a simple car to work on and very easy to tune. The carburator is about the only situation you may run into but repairs to any part of the car is easy. You should enjoy it a lot.

No problem...Those threads have some great cars, and would be my "go to" place if I ever ended up with a Falcon. The FIRST thing I'd do is lower the car so you don't get altitude sickness driving it around...
My girlfriend just picked one of these up a couple weeks ago. I haven't been able to find a big site like this one dedicated to Falcons. There are several chapters of the Falcon club of America throughout the country. Get in touch with the nearest chapter to you and go from there. There are a few parts websites that have just about anything you'll need. Good thing about these is they share parts with lots of cars, including Mustangs front suspension, so parts are easy to get/available at local parts outlets. Here's ours . . . more pics in my album
ah straighten out the PO crap and you got a cool driver. watch out for the assriders though. i like it!
Not one damn thing, other than the tag someone stuck on there in the recent past. There was no "Limited Edition" Falcon. Probably a LE tag from a PT Cruiser. Cosmo
Johnathon, glad to see that your girl ended up with that car - mine just about threw a tantrum over wanting it at Mcalpines and Go-kat go a couple of weeks ago! She has too many things for me to work on as it sits! Nice car though.....
Then you will want to check out the forum here: FORDSIX PERFORMANCE Lots of Falcon guys hang out there, that's for sure, and they cling to their inline sixes with a great deal of passion. If you want help with your new ride, those guys have the goods. And check out the web site of the company that sponsors it, too. Classic Inlines Lots of cool parts for the the Falcon sixes there.
Fordmuscle.com -lots of hard core tech (check the general tech and mustang) Falconearlybirds.com (low volume but good people and links, and parts) Critesrestoration.com
