Technical I found the problem with running 14 inch wheels!

Tall, skinny, narrow, round tires aren't always easy to find.

American tires is where I went and where i bought the last ones. Apparently they don't have them in Bakersfield

Wow! Now that really changes the look of the car. I think I miss my 5 spoke wanna be Americans already. The 5 spokes have been on there for at least 18 yrs. Before that was the crusty cragars. Maybe they'd be better white. Right now they remind me of something the joker would have had in an Adam West Batman series!!!

the last set was from about 2 years ago. maybe they have changed.

 

Chrome reverse from Summit. 15s and 14s.
The best looking wheel for the money in my opinion.
I have been hoarding 14" bias plys for the front. I find them at swapmeets and Craigslist. Good luck and have fun.
