It's called old age. I just swapped my 454 for a flathead.

Nice looking bird. Bought one for my wife a few years ago. No portholes so assume a '55.
    Enjoy.

now you just need to do the rational thing and swap that motor out for a real motor like a 283, 327 or 409

It happens. All our modern drivers are GM. All our hotrods are Fords. I guess they call that a house divided.

I did the same thing this year! Chevys all my life, and I bought my '63 Falcon in March. But then I tore it apart and put a 464 Chevy in it! :)

Part of getting better is admitting you had a problem. Congratulations

  14. Well,,,it's not a Full On Ford. It's just a T-Bird. You'll probably have to find a new group of Friends now.

Great choice of Ford. '55 is a great Bird.

Get some heavy duty front and rear sway bars on that car pronto!

They're beautiful, but they drive and handle like a truck.

  20. Good start for a T-bird gasser.... straight axle and a big FE with injectors would be perfect...:D

Step away from the checkbook....please. In a few weeks, with the proper counseling, you will be alright. We hope! Nice Bird... :)

Because you wanted style and grace and no puddle of oil on the driveway

  28. Now that's Funny,,,,and so true. Everything I have with G.M. motors in them marks there territory every time I stop. None of my Ford powered Hot Rods have that issue.
