Well, I was really proud of the paint I laid on the nosecone. It came out really shiny and smooth. I ran out of time Sunday so I just set it on the car and snapped some photos, then pushed it back into the garage. Yesterday afternoon, I take a closer look. Nose looks great, but the rest of the car is covered with dust. No biggie, I think, and I wipes it off. BUT, there is a rough layer of what feels like overspray on the hood, headlights.....well, every horizontal surface. I guess either the base or clear drifted into the garage while I was in the driveway blissfully shooting the nose. Now I have to get this crap off. Think it will it safely wipe off with some reducer or should I just buff the crap out of it again?
how old is the rest of the paint? i'm not too much of a body man, but try a clay bar. seems to me that'll be the ticket.
Ya need to keep in mind it aint like the old laquer days. This new shit sticks to everything The Clears are the worst. I cringe if I have to take my daily to a body shop cause ive had 2 come back covered with overspray cause they wernt masked off properly. The shit sticks to everything including the glass. Dave
It's only a week old. I just shot it. I had to do the nose separately because of time constraints. It's a base/clear that I had already wetsanded and buffed.
