Projects HUGE tail light... does this go on 1949 hearse?

I picked up this huge tail light. Dpes anyone know what it may have come off of? Looks like a Packard to me. Thanks.

Since Packard was a high end luxury car and therefore produced in small numbers, I would attribute the presence of so many tailights surviving to many car custom guys back in the day buying new ones from the Packard dealers for their more common place cars.
