Never mind, video won't load and I can't delete this... It was me leaving cruise night at the Gilmore without a burnout or crashing. Ripping good stuff...
    HA! I fixed it! https://www.youtube.com/shorts/vGygC_byycs
The problem was me trying to load the video, I'd tried to my YouTube channel but had, of course, forgotten my password and couldn't get into my page. Kind of like my blog page that I can no longer publish on because I forgot the password, and to change a password, you need your old password...

Did you at least run over a curb or stall the engine out?

I've left the Gilmore a few times myself. No pictures, means no evidence. No evidence, means not guilty.

The worst way to leave a cruise night is on a roll-back...don't ask:mad:.

My Harley has a pretty rowdy exhaust note and most of my rides do as well. I like to get the engine rpm at a point where the exhaust note is pretty sweet by using tho different gears, and then let the engine sing it’s tune. It can be at idle or a few thou of rpm. Doesn’t need to be wound to the moon or spinning the tires. It’s all about the car or bikes attitude.

  20. I love "when Mustangs attack"
There is literally thousands of Mustang videos with the drivers having a lack of good judgment.
My favorite are the street takeovers where the car goes sideways and takes out a ton of idiots standing way too close to a car in a "controlled" skid.

To be honest I get more delight in watching the Lambos and Ferraris come unstuck.

I am not impressed by anybody doing a burnout [especially those that lose it]
They are just mediocre dickheads showing off

There is a huge difference between standing on the gas coming off a corner at 70 mph and coming out of a driveway at 15 mph.
Cars are not designed to lose traction.

My pet peeve is the huge crowds hanging around the start line in baggy shorts and beer bellies trying to look important.

That is usually some f***wit in a rental Lambo or Ferrari trying to be somebody they ain't .

Most Lambo or Ferrari owners are protective of their cars.
There is a huge "H" factor to owning a Ferrari [ The Hassle of owning one] You cannot park one without some small minded spiteful dickhead spitting on it or scratching it.
Whenever you drive one there is some idiot cutting you off in their shitbox [proving they are the winning]
Mine lives on a battery tender [I seldom take it out]

I'm with you on that one. Those sort of events scare me. I don't know how the insurance companies put up wiith it. It's bad enough waiting to do your run and you have to wait for the back-slappers and high-fivers from the previous run to put their dicks back in their pants and get out of the way.

A much younger me showed up late to a car show I wasn't even planning on attending. Just purchased a jeep with a big lift and knew it needed some things taken care of but wanted to show it to my friends. I pulled in and we all oohed and ahhhed around it, then I hopped in to take it home and without any real throttle input, promptly dropped the rear driveshaft on the ground. More of the Ooooh and Ahhhhh... Good times, right?

Its all fun n games until...

Now not to be hypocrite, I left a cruise nite once in a slightly "violent" fashion. There was a bit of a receiving line where everyone stopped and added some sauce to their passing by the group. I was in my race car that day as the whole gig was on big parking lot. I waited for room as my turn came up since I was actually thinking safety. I foot braked a little scratch and decided screw that and backed up. Did a short burnout, backed up again then pressed the trans brake. In seconds the crowd got impatient and loudly urged for a big smokey exit. Instead I whacked it full throttle on the brake, RPM banging away at 4500, echoes off the buildings, and the funniest part was how the crowd scattered in fear from the edge of the sidewalk. Here I was thinking everyone knew what trans brake and rev limiter was about, and upon release the scattering crowd numbers increased. The whole affair was maybe 5-10 seconds, I moved maybe 40' at most when I let it loose, and I was farther than that away from everyone. So imagine it, open headers, 14:1 compression, store fronts, wide open on the brake stuttering hard-core at 4500, and then bang right up to 5500 clean. I was laughing too hard to see the overall response as I idled by on my way to the trailer. I miss that car.

LOL, this is getting a lot traction, considering there's nothing to see. The video taken by my pal Crafty B I can't share to, even to my photos, to upload anywhere, but it's just me idling out in the roadster. The funny thing (to me) was that when I left the grounds, still idling, the local cop had some dude in a really nice early 70's TA pulled over, pretty much at end of the two still smoking black tire tracks on the pavement. ;)

No need for a video. Seen it a hundred times at multiple car shows and cruise nights. Saw one fool doing donuts in a gravel lot next to lawn show and sprayed stones over dozens of cars.

  30. Your roadster sounds great. Tell us about its exhaust- pipe diameter, mufflers, etc.
