-Easiest and cheepest way is to swap in a FE. even the 352 made 250 Hp. I recently bought a 62 T bird 390. 4 bbl engine rated at 300 HP. Paid $100 . Unless I sell the car. That mill will replace a excellent 262 six that currently resides in my 55 Ford Ranch Wagon. I can use the trans , 11 ivch clutch ,bell & flywheel from a OT 76 truck that has a 360. That way I get full syncro trans and the later starter. I can also use the later water pump and convert to a alternator.
