I have a repro 32 shell on my ride -- gonna put a grille in it (to hide the external electric pusher fan) -- what's the best way to do that? How was the original insert attached to the shell? Lookit the attached photo -- looks a little crude with the external tabs, I'd rather have the attachments hidden behiind the insert (but the car is F'n cool !!). How'd you do it?
on an original shell the grille is attached from the inside with 4 small screws. i usually use 10-32 or 10-24, maybe about 1/2" long
