lower the bumpers, lose the stone guards on the rear fenders and add some skirts

I'm doing something like that to my 46 Chevy. On my car, I am using extra "door bubbles" that come on the car. If you look at pics of one, you'll see what I mean. I used 2 for each quarter, one inside, and one outside. Of course I had to use a different bumper to accomodate the extensions, using a 49 or 50 Caddy front bumper on itThe green car looks like they added 51 Merc quarter pieces for the extensions. It's not hard to do, but takes some time, carefull measuring and eyeballing, and some welding skills. I'll see if I can find any pics I took of mine in progress. Might even be some here on the HAMB, way back a few years ago.

Here's a how to I did, explaining how I used a hammerform to make a new splash pan to fit around the new extended fenders. Farther down, you can see the door bubbles I used, and you might be able to get an idea of how they were installed.
    I'll keep looking!

If you want some almost-free length/lowness, shoot some very glossy dark paint on. The curvature of the body will cause any reflections to compress vertically, which will effectively cover the car with lengthening horizontal lines. It has to be dark, though. The black you've got shrinks and tightens the car, but the matt finish makes it stubby.

Not sure about lengthening the fenders forwards. These sorts of shapes have implicit focal points - nothing you could determine mathematically, mind - that suggest where the wheel ought to be. I'd rather be inclined to take the entire fender and shift it rearward, but leaving the rear wheel and wheel opening where they are. It'll take a good 3".

I checked, and the original how to on the extensions are too old, and must have been deleted, at least my photo attachments of them have been/
