A friend of mine gave this to me today. It has been sitting in the corner of his body shop for years, that explains the heavy coat of shop grit/ bondo dust. Also with this came with a 265 engine and a 307 engine, both with the heads off. So I really don't know which it was used on.

Spread bore and heat riser cap, so that doesnt make it too old, probably 70's or newer i'd guess

It is NOT all that old.
The older ones have " say why and " on them. Also yours does not have the oil fill tube and the pattern is for a spread bore carb.

Most likely mid 70's and up. :D

Mid 60's or newer with the spreadbore setup. It appears to be an 8004 intake that was and still is pretty popular.

    Mid-70's I would think.

  6. You can still buy a new 8004 intake for $165.00

Clean it up a bit, it might be worth 50 bucks at the most...

I'm feeling 1983-84 on that one. Did you pull that out of a corn field?

It came to be around the same time as the original Edelbrock Performer. I remember a test in Car Craft that compared all of the 180 degree street style intakes, and the Weiand 8004 won. Value-wise, not much.....I recently bought a nice one at a swap meet for $20.00.
