How much is a corvair box worth?

Just wanted to know what a good used corvair box is going for, it was already reversed with brackets ready to go on a frame. I bought one yesterday, gave $100 for it all and just wondering if I got hosed or not? Also I bought a cool edelbrock dual carb polished manifold for a stovebolt with the carbs and real neat linkage in working order, gave $100 for that to, I just wondered if I gave to much for this stuff or got a good deal or not. i think you did very good on both deals.

 

You did good if the Corvair box is clean and doesn't need any rebuild, you did REAL good on the manifold.

 

It really depends on if your a Corvair fan or not and what you would pay to get one. I had a Corvair Spider Convertible, I did not like it and I did not want to put any work or money into it. I sold it for $450.00.

 

Thanks guys, your help is appreciated. I thought it was probably not a bad deal, especially since all I have to do is bolt it on, but you never know on some things, and yes they seem to be in good working order. If nothing else it's two less things I have to worry about looking for at the next swap meet, and two more pieces closer to getting the project done.
