how do you get bumps out of new carpet?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by michaelantonia, Mar 3, 2008.

  1. Just put in a factory molded carpet and there are some bumps on the flat sections in front of the seats (where your feet go) The carpet I pulled out (not original) had very little glue and fit perfectly so I tried to use roughly the same amount, in the same places but I still have bumps... Any advice? I am bummed b/c everything else came out so well and now I look at the carpet and I wanna kick the dog. Help! -MICHAEL

I believe the solution is in a hand held steamer. It'll allow you to work them out.

  3. Good advice on the steamer, sometimes drapery places might have rentals rather than buying one.;)
