Mine are in various cardboard boxes and paper grocery bags in the attic. I am about to commence throwing one container at a time into the weekly garbage.

    Hello,

Since I already know our son does not dabble in hot rods or magazines of sorts, he will eventually be responsible for disposal of our small house, unless he wants to live here. His collection of comic books is so vast that he has to rent a small storage facility to store them. His house is not full of magazines laying around. Perhaps, several books in neat stacks, but no magazines, especially car magazines.

So, with that in mind, the above photo was taken when we had some tile put on our floors. It was the last portion prior to the plumber installing it for a finished project.

Our son will enjoy our house as it is well organized for us and everything has its place. Well it is for us, but if and when he moves in, he will undoubtedly have his own quirks and ways to live. We have a couple of hot rod books and hardbound magazine style hot rod information books. Plus, the most innovative book written about Lion’s Dragstrip and So Cal drag racing… “SoCal Thunder …when Lions Roared!” Written by John “Waldo” Glaspey

“A Comprehensive Written & Photographic History of the Historic & Iconic Lions Drag Strip through the Golden Age of Drag Racing.”

“A brief history of drag racing in Southern California followed by a pictorial history of Lions Drag Strip from the beginning to the end.”

“Many never before published photos by Roy Robinson and Don Hale. Authoritative text from someone who was there for it all.”

This he will keep as he saw the copy in our “magazine basket” and noted how cool it was…

This PHR cover shot magazine is in that pile somewhere…

Ever since we found out he has allergies, we have lived in a relatively clean house. In our 1963 built old house, weekly cleanings helped with the normal stuff that gathers in dust bunny corners/crevices. The garage is a car storage place, but nothing is stacked or piled up against a corner or two. "Everything in its place and a place for everything" is a philosophy we have lived in all of his lifetime. After he got married and had his own house, we continued to live a very “clean” house.
upload_2025-1-14_3-36-13.png If and when he opens the garage door, he will be treated to this finished garage for starters and the rest of the house is detailed and kept minimalist as well as clean.

So, yes, it looks empty but behind the doors has everything extra that has its own place, including drawers for the most used products and tools. Old comic books stored in sealed comic book bags within their own boxes for long term storage… YRMV
