How do i change 6lug Chevy to 5lug?

    Hi everyone.

    I got a 1955 (first series,looks like a 1954) Chevrolet stepside.
    I want 5lug in front,is there any chevy drum that fits right on,maby from the passanger cars?
    Got a chevelle rear end so i want 5lug in front to...

    I think it is 53/54 car spindles and drums that you would put on your axle.

    WELCOME to the HAMB ... :)

    I suggest you go do a intro ... so folks can know a little about you ... and before the intro police get all fuzzed up ...

    All you need is the hub/drums off a 53 - 54 Chevrolet passenger car. Direct bolt on ... no other changes ...

    Im going for a litte "gasser" or old race whith the 55 so i want some old type of mags all around...

    If you really need 6 lug to 5 lug you can find wheel adapters on the net. They're a little expensive though, so you may just want to run different patterns front and rear instead.

    the hubs/drums you need were used on 51-54 passenger cars. Also be sure to change (or remove) the flat round grease shield thing that fits on the spindle between the hub and backing plate, the truck one will hit the car hub.

    We did that on a buddies truck. We used everything from a 55 2nd series truck.
