How did you decide on your first car?

If by first car you are refering to hot rod, I was 15 and saw American Grafitti when it came out, about 3 or 4 times and was hooked. The yellow '32 was the star, but the car I had to have was a red T Bucket that is in one very short scene. A car that you could climb into!? With the motor showing!? I had to have one and I'm building it now.
