Late model 302 with overdrive.
Been very busy, but managed to replace the rear Springs with a set of McVeigh's 6 pack HD units ... and added a Larry's T-Bird HD front sway bar.... massive improvement over the stock 7/8 version. The rolling test lab is a happy old girl.
That's really nicely done. I smell a real sleeper here.
I have pics of your car on my computer.
I look at it often. Real often.

Took a flight to St. Paul for the Back to the 50's last week. Great venue, people and cars. Walked 27 miles to see most of the 12,000+ entries. Here are a few beauties.

May as well add another Meteor from the left coast............
The 57 and 58 tailgates and rear of the car are a lot different. The 58s have a hump in the body to meet the taillights, so the tailgate is a lot thicker, 57 tailgate is flat. Also the 58 tailgate does not lay flat when open. May have been more of a retooling issue.
Probably why it didn't carry over to the 58 Ranchero. The Ranchero being more of utility / work vehicle than the wagon. To bad, would have looked cool on a Ranchero.
Smart looking wagon you got there BTW.
