Regarding the article on the 1954 crashsite of Air Force Captain Vanley T Johnson, at the edge of the Bonneville Salt Flats, and the recent discovery of his dog tags 55 years later, I just spoke on the phone to Capt Johnson's brother, who lives in Hardin County, Kentucky.

He said that a fellow from Indianapolis contacted the family not long ago and they're supposed to get together. He said that his brother's remains are interred at Sonora, in Hardin County.

Just today, I read about this find. Glad they located the family. My uncle trained in B17's at Wendover during WWII.

Some friends and I found the wreck site this last August. We picked up a few pieces of small wreckage. The crash left quite a debris field and crater. Nature has slowly filled in the crater so now it's just a muddy depression.
