WOW! I want a copy of that to keep on my harddrive with the Jimmy White video. It's in the directory called 'Inspiriational Material' Am I the only one who got chills watching that? Vance
I need to show this to my neighbor so she will quit calling the cops on me!! Super nice thank you very much.
I hope its alright to save....Cause I just did, that was a seriously sweet vid!!! I'm gonna show that to my Pop, he'll dig it as well.... I was wondering where you found all of the B/W footage....then realized you did it (which made the vid even sweeter!) great job.
It would have been more powerful if there was at least one person in the 1/4 mile of grandstands (that were completely empty)... Ah well... Anyone notice how Famoso has become even more "drag'd" out? It seems they have to sweep the track for 30 minutes after every run.
VERY COOL!! The funny thing is I never opened this thread until today because I thought it was another.... Thread! Boy was I wrong. FWIW. I'm the Deuce roadster that appears right after Roys #5. It's very obvious to me that I'm going faster than Roy. Is it possible to download these things to a CD like we copy photos? They video is great but the narration hits hard with me. It tells the story the way I like to hear it told. Nice work! It sure is something to be proud of!
dude, LOVED the narrative, reminded me a bit of Robert Frost and some of the readings i heard as a young kid on a trip to alaska!...Amazing is what that is!
I had to watch with the sound off at work so I don't get busted. Can't wait to get home and check it out again.
Hey Darby, That video was excellant and you hit the point square on, really well done!! I enjoyed seeing a lot of east coast cars I recognized, then the best part hit for me. That last P/U in it at the drags was my old '33...you made my day! LSM
Excellent...thanks for taking the time to put it together and post it...looking forward to the next installment.
LSM, Flash--good to hear from you guys. I've actually met both of you at shows, but just briefly, so you probably don't remember. LSM--I talked to you later in the day when I was taping the drags. I think we got to talking about o-rings. Flash--I talked with you and bought a calendar at a swap meet in New Hamshire early this summer. I mentioned that I worked near Alewife in the old ADL facility.
that was poetry in motion. it really showed what hot rodding is all about. not about how much money you can spend on 1-800-shiny-shit or how much you pay someone to do it for you. hot rodding comes from the imagination and that video expressed it greatly
