Looking for a copy of the 390 Cadillac build they did. Looked online, but to no avail. If you don't mind scanning it, the Caddy guys would appreciate it.

    Dude, you're my hero!

I'm pretty disappointed in the build though. They put a cam in it, did some porting and it made less HP than stock.
    Here's the factory GM numbers.
    Bore and Stroke: 4.000 x 3.875

    Piston displacement, Cubic Inches: 390

    Compression ratio: 10.25

    Maximum Brake Horsepower: 325 @ 4800

    Maximum Torque Lbs.Ft. @ RPM: 430 @ 3100

Compression too low, cam too lame, not enough port , restrictive intake I think. We'll see if mine is just as lame when the time comes!

Same folks did the work on mine but we went back and forth to the flow bench multiple times.

If I have time/energy. One of the problems with the 390 head is that the intake flow has a flat spot at .3" lift. That was corrected on my heads but was unknown when the article was done (they didn't do any flow testing). The engine may have been over-cammed for the intake flow capability. My heads should now be on par with a a stock high performance SBC head and I'm hoping for more than 4800 RPM! Springs should be good for 6500 but I'm not sure if it will get there.

  10. Old dusty bump for new dyno if it happened.................
