Has anyone built one? A buddy is having a baby in the Spring. Thought I might build him one. it would have to be steerable from the rear, enough room for a baby to say a 2 yr old and look traditional...

    thoughts??

Larry Grobe built a couple bad ass vintage ones. They were both done in green metalflake and white vinyl. It has popped up on here before, but I'm not sure how to find where it was. Maybe cyclebilly, hellfish or magnet knows or has some pics.

Here's one I'm building for my 11 month old son. I found the body on ebay for 20 bux, bought some 1/2' square and round tubing at the hardware store, some small rod ends, spent a couple lunch hours at work building the frame. I maybe have 50 bux in it. A swan neck 39 ford shift lever will come through the grill for a pull handle. A buddy is striping it right now, I 'll show some pix when it's done, still gotta build the inner pan and do some interior. The paint stays as is.

The last picture says it all!

I've got nearly the same body. I can't seem to find any pedal car wheels anywhere though. Most wheels are too wide or just don't look right.

Here's mine. It converts to a pedal car also.

I built this one for my daughter a few years back. It’s amazing how much attention these strollers get.

  22. Built this one for my son five years ago. He's outgrown it now and I sure miss cruisin the sidewalks with him in it. He got more attention than I ever got in a real car which was just fine with me.

It steered from a T handle in the rear that you can't see in the pic.

It's been awhile since the last post so I thought I would add this. I just became a grandfather in June and had plans for this 1/3 scale Willys P/U as a RC model well now I'm going to make a stroller out of it until my grandson is too big for it. Eddie Sanzo was a friend of mine back when he raced his Willys P/U.
