hi ya'll i'm working on my 51 ford vicky replacing the hood release cable. there was one in the car but it was rusty and cracked so, out with the old and in with a new one from shoebox central. the trouble is that while the old one was there, it was just hanging under the dash. now i don't know if i'm missing a bracket or something else but, i can't see any place that the inside T handle should mount. if anyone has a photo or can tell me where it mounts that would be much appreciated. thanks for any info!
On a '50 the cable mounts under the dash as far left as possible, left of the park brake handle. It doesn't mount to the dash, but to the body / cowl area. I know that '51 might be different but this may get you in the right ball park anyway.
