Hood Ornament - Who Made It?

What Year, Make, and Model vehicle had this hood ornament?

37 De Soto.

 

looks like Mr. DeSoto to me. year unknown. I'll guess 1953.

 

I'm guessing a '52 od perhaps a '53 DeSoto.

53 Desoto has that faux hood scoop on it, this is from an earlier car.

 

Their just might be a HEMI under that hood in the dirt
