Aight guys, I'm getting hitched next Saturday then we're heading out to Cali for 10 days. We're flying in to SanDiego on the 26th till the 28th, then to Palm Springs for a couple days. From there we're going to LA (we'll be there for Halloween-seein the Dynotones in Huntington), then headin up to SanFran for the last 2 days. I'm looking for some local's input on what we must see/do/eat/etc. I think the Peterson is on our list and a bunch of other little places to check out. If someone wants to give us a little tour I'm always up for buying a couple rounds. I'm big into local live music so if I can see some bands that'd be awesome. We're gonna have internet while we're out there so if you want to PM me I should be able to keep up on it.

    Thanks!

Make your way over to So-Cal Speed Shop around lunch time. Check their site or call for exact times. They do shop tours & it's worth the free price.

    NHRA Museum. Must-do! Pomona Fairplex.

There's a shitload of hot rod shops to look at.

    Go see Steve at Limeworks.

  12. Don't waste you time! There's NOTHING to do here in SoCal...Unless you like HAMB breakfasts,Museums,Cruise nights at Bob's(Downey and Burbank),Shop tours, blah blah blah!!!!
You won't be here long enough to see everything that's going on,on a daily basis.
Sned me a PM when you get here,if you have trouble making up your mind.

We're actually gonna be in Palm Springs those days so I don't think we're gonna make it. 4 hours roundtrip is a long time in the car.

I'm gonna see what I can do. Nikki wants to go to a TV show taping so I might see if we can jockey our days around a bit.

Go out for drinks at the Continental Room in Fullerton. That's one of my favorite drinking establishments in So Cal. Hit up the Edelbrock museum in Torrance. The museum is friggin awesome, so much hot rod history. We had our Christmas parties in the museum when I worked there. Do some shop tours. Limeworks in Wittier is really cool, nice guys too. O/T but take the wifey to Catalina Island, you take the ferry out of Long Beach.

  25. What are your new wife's hobbies? What is she interested in? You a had better consider this when you plan. Post your answer and maybe someone can make suggestions of places to go and things to see.

Charlie, I'm not just looking for Auto/hotrod related stuff, OT stuff is cool too. we've got a decent list of things to see, but that's just based off of what we found online. I wanna get the locals input, something that might not be on the radar. if you ever come to Philly i'll show you stuff that would never come up on a websearch and you'll have a blast.

    For the wife....

If you're in SF on a Saturday go to the farmers markert at the old ferry building on the warf. Rated the best farmers market in the USA. Have some breakfast, grab a cup of coffee, take a walk along the waterfront. I nice way to start off the morning.

SF is a tourist town. Do the tourist stuff. Hokey but still fun.

Other than mentioned above, Maybe check: H@H Flatheads(La Cresenta...VERY COOL), Mooneyes(Santa Fe), Jesse James's shop(LongBeach), John Force's shop(YorbaLinda), Walden's speed shop(forget where), And I think I would look up Bobby and Lucky at Old Crow speed shop(that should be fun and an experience) and then Hollywood Hotrods. It's endless. Have fun and congrats!
