Hey Bob! Yes unreal how nice dash is! Flushed the block & radiator & wow no rust water that went in came out clear! Pulled off FI unit & all bolts came off like it was put together yesterday! I'm putting on Dual Quad set up on to get running & see how motor is! Will get Fi unit rebuilt & put back on at a later date! Here's mock up setup & nicer valve covers & ck out motor looks good inside! Tks Bill

Looks great I love the direction your going with the car. Is it possible to take a peek at the piston tops thru the spark plug hole. I wounder if it's got domed pistons. What head marking does have?
Years ago I had a 270 hp motor never quite got over it. Ron

Sweet find man. It seems like every time I have money to spend I cant find anything worth buying and once I spend it, shit pops up

  17. I don't think I've ever seen a car in that condition clean up as well.
Man, I'd drive the poo out of it just as is, and love it.

  22. I haven't any read the whole thread yet....still in the Feb 2014 post.....but I almost puked when I read the Corvette forum talking about a NCRS restoration. An ass for every seat, and I'm with you brother.....the only ass in that seat needs to dig psycho panel paint, and crushed red velour. That's an awesome ride.

I'm glad you are saving the car. Panel painting and velour is not my thing, but keeping it , seems right. What did the cylinders and pistons look like? Rings stuck?

Finally getting somewhere on the vette! I've been working on it little by little and was to the point of seeing if it would run. After replacing fuel tank, fuel pump, and new 2x4 setup, the time had come to see if the vette would roar to life again. With the help of my buddies that came down for the CA Hot Rod reunion, the time had come to fire it up. Here's a couple videos of the adventure! Click on the picture to play video.

I've learned so much from the HAMB especially that for long term storage nothing beats a hog shed. Looks and sounds great!

  29. Unreal story. Fuel injection is super cool, but dual quads will be JUST fine, till FI unit is sorted.:) No surprise you are Keeping it old school. It's why most of us are on this message board anyway.(read:ppreservationists)
El Dawgg, in our Misfires car club has a '67 BB roadster, that was customized, back in the day.
(and wrecked:eek:) Despite intense pressure, from Vette enthusiasts, he is keeping the fender flares, no front bumper and 6 taillights with duck-bill spoiler. And it ain't for sale neither. His house renovation is eating his lunch. Sure hope he can hang on to it. Natch' he has been offered stupid money for it.
