There was hundreds more cars outside, let's move on into the buildings. How about a 34 Caddy V12

I could only photo a fraction of the restored cars inside due to the mountains of crap.

Other buildings I didn't have time to tour include a sheep shed piled floor to cieling in antique clocks, another building with over 1000 hit and miss engines. Plus the eccentric stuff, they love toys, like plastic action figures and are rabid fans of Xena and go to all the conventions. One house is full of life size Xena characters in full costume.

It looks like they enjoy their collection, and what a collection! But there will be an auction some day, and those fine cars will get a second chance to be 'back on the road again'.

  9. They can sure do as they want with the cars. Just can't help wondering why not have a place to keep them nice.

Thanks - yep, seems a waste to us. but, they are not the only ones out there. others call their private "collection" of dozens, if not hundreds, of cars and more not hoarding.

Whenever I see anything like this, I always wondered what they did to afford this stuff? or did they inherit their money? Apparently it wasn't by selling. :)

If they been hoarding long enough, many years ago, yes some of those items they probably had very little into, like what's his name? not the Lambrecht auction but the other guy that died like a year or 2 before the big chevy auction that was a private collector, name escapes me now but the one cycle he brought at a swap meet for around $14.00-$14.50 or something like that, did nothing with it and they got big bucks at his estate auction for it.

Anyways, yes, someday this will come available again if someone just doesn't come in and crush it do to some legal issue or some relative takes the fast easy way out because they are not interested in it. yes it happens and I've seen it too.

I've a friend with a mini hoard & over the last decade, I've seen some nice stuff sit out & slowly ruin all the while I'm asking him why not quit buying vehicles & classic motorcycles at least one year & build a stinkn shed or Something to & get the projects out've the Harsh elements. What a waste. You'd have to see it to believe it too. It seriously is a sickness. I got him to sell a NOS hood for a friends project that he'd bought new in box 25 years ago only to see it sitting out in the elements & although he doubled his money & it went for a good project, you'd think he lost out, as I say ......

Inherited 10 sections of wheat farm. Very cordial gents but the 2 filthiest humans I've ever met. I'm sure they've been in the same clothes for months without bathing. Don't spend any money on something decent to drive or a skid steer, save it all to buy more cars. They shovel 200 yards of driveway with scoop shovels. The cars set where they get unloaded. The fiddle with one a couple days, see if it will run then never touch it again.

I have no problem with it.The best stuff is indoors the way it looks and let's face it,many of us given the opportunity and financial means would buy a bunch of cars/trucks/bikes and some would end up outdoors and we all would say we had plans to fix them all up or enjoy just looking at them.
