    A voltage regulator, fuel block and sometimes a coil mounted to the firewall is very traditional for your style of car. A smooth, filled firewall was less common. The key is balance and symmetry. Is your master cylinder going to remain where it is on the firewall? With the carb inlets on the same side as the M/C it’s hard to make a firewall mounted fuel block look right so you might opt for a rail and hard lines. There are stock looking coils available that are a little hotter than a stock GM if you feel you need more zap.
    I’ve mounted MSD boxes up under the dash and run them for years with no problem. Like someone said it’s usually cooler there than in a closed engine compartment. I wouldn’t cover it with any kind of close out though.

    Thanks, I’m going for the smooth fire wall look as that is how my dad first built it. When my fuel block comes in I’ll start mocking up all the pieces, let the fun begin. And yes I plan on leaving the master, although I’m adding a e-brake, but that will lead to another thread……
