you've got my signature. I worked that track from 1970-1976 and have a lot of great memories from those days.
Raced a 34 Ford 5 window number 180 and painted a maroon color there in the '50's and raced against a green 34 coupe sponsered by Cal-Van Accessories.
I was at their event on Sunday. Lots of cars and memories. The track still looks to be in good shape, seems the 'horsey' people have taken over the area though.
I was at a few of those. Was that the year Gary Zaps RR won best of show, then they couldnt get it to start, had to push it 3/4 of the way round the track to accept the trophy?
I thought you were talking about the Langley Raceway in Virginia. I raced a few Enduro races there when I was in the Navy back in the 80s.. A enduro is like a combo of a race and a crash derby... thats where i Learned how much a bench seat sucks on a turn ...LOL check it out here http://www.langley-speedway.com/
Haha! I remember that. I think the first Supercar Sunday there was when the track was still active as Action Raceway and by the next years show the track was abandoned. I had my blue V8 Pinto there. This place is a few thousand miles west of Virginia.
