help need quick measurement 29 coupe body panel

Thanks for any help! finally trying to fit my trunk lid on my 29 coupe and it seems I have issues. the bottom edge hangs over the lower panel.
My quetion is how tall is the panel below the trunk lid on a 29 coupe. with the bead heigth or with out.

also the bottom of the trunk lid how is the edge folded , mine is hammered. is it suppost to follow the skin shape to an edge. or is it bent sort of 90 degrees like the sides.

 

It appears to me that you have a '30-31 rear panel rather than a '28-29 Coupe panel. The '28-29 panel has no bead along the lower edge.

That would explain why you are having fitment issues.

 

I never picked up on that. thanks now I understand why the under side of the lid spray painted snafu.

are 29 trunk lids same size as 30 just with the latch moved?

 

Yes, '28-31 decklids are all the same physical size, as far as I know.
