Help Me Decide, Should I use the fenders and running boards or not

I've done it both ways, and I think your car would look better with fenders. If you could bring the nose down a few inches, you'd be looking at a different scenario. Car looks killer with the fenders on it though.

I must say the car looks better with the fenders. But it is your choice..

Without fenders everyone will say "What a cool car!".

What matters is what YOU will be saying.

Fenders, back when nice fenders were everywhere, you could toss them and if you wanted them back on then you could get some. Now having a nice set would be worth keeping, change when you want.

 

Finally, a choice that I can vote for the majority. IMO A sedans look so much better with fenders. Another reason is that your less likely to hear, "what a nice Rat Rod".

Wow I never thought there were so many people that liked the fenders on these cars. I guess the reason that I thought of taking them off is that Im going for that traditional look and hod rods back in the early days tried to make them lighter so they got rid of them. I sure as hell don't want this car to be called a rat rod. There are many good points here to keep them like the rain issue and that they are getting harder to find.
See heres the thing. I also have a 39 ford deluxe coupe that is prostreet with a big block (you can see a picture in my profile)and I kinda wanted two totally different build styles. One being an old school hot rod and one being a newer prostreet build. Thank you to everyone that took the time to comment. THE CAR KEEPS THE FENDERS.

Did you look at bonnville pics and where the salt goes on open wheel cars? Even when it doesn't rain runoff from sprinklers keep the car dirty. I drive a 29 hiboy and a 35 coupe. guess which one stays cleaner?
