    They would have been optional at that time, maybe until about '67.

    I think reverse lights were standard on the '53 Chrysler, I don't think that's what the OP's tail lights are from

    I saw those on ebay too, I bet the guys description is correct when he said concept car prototypes

    If they are on eBay and Mark saw them. I'd buy those before he adds them to his nice collection.

    So they are on feebay under the heading, "NOS Unknown tail lights bezel lens Prototype ? Concept Car ? " and are described as being from a car designer's estate in Michigan. There are 24 pics there and you can clearly see that the inner socket housings are hand fabricated. Interesting.

    They are beautiful no doubt, but kinda spendy if used just for wall hanging or to sit, unused in a display case.
