The wider side bolt holes line up with the shock mounts on the frame?

  2. They might be brackets for using Delco Lovejoy shocks on early Fords.

Alloy or steel? Symmetrical construction, they look as though they capture or support a static load between them by supporting it on both sides? Roughly what size are they, it might help narrow things down a bit?

  9. Go to www.2040-parts.com they have photos and list them as adapters for delco shocks for 36 to 40 fords. This site was found using Google images for delco shocks.
