My buddy bought this at Carlisle and the guy told him it was sbc.It is not chevy.I traded him a chevy one.Now I need to figure out what it is.I think ford.Any help would be appreciated.
Pontiac? Keep in mind that I am in NO way qualified to make an educated guess...I just think Pontiac.
doesn't look like a common GM V8 to me. How about a full picture of the front of it? the pic you have is cut off at the top, so we can't really see what's going on up there.
I have seen BOP housings with both starter pockets but have never seen a Pontiac housing with the starter on the right side as the one in the pic shows. If it was on the right, it would be in the way of the oil filter on a Pontiac.
Definitely not Pontiac, or SB/BB Mopar since they all have starters on the driver's side...pretty much narrows it down to Ford in my mind...
Here we go....yes? http://www.jegs.com/i/Lakewood/620/15205/10002/-1 The second picture has me thinking you're missing some. I think that's it, though.
bottoms been ground of, have one for a chevy like it, same thing, bottom ground as it was used on a pavement stock car...also missing the front halfof the cover..
SBF 289-302. The outer row of lower bolt holes has been cut off making it worthless if you want to use it for racing.
