So I am getting to a point in the build of my '25 Chev roadster where I am thinking of the next build, yes I still have a way to go on my Spurgin/Giovanine inspired roadster, mainly reconditioning of brakes and engine, running of exhaust, brakes lines and the usual odds and ends. I am really itching to get going on the next project and apply the lessons learnt building my current roadster. So I have done two concepts I am undecided on which way to go but I am leaning towards one in particular. The Maroon version is my take on the Andrave/Carvalho 1927 T roadster. Mine will be Chev roadster body/chassis powered by a Ford Falcon crossflow 6 that powered the majority of Falcons in Australia from 1976-87. I have 5 or 6 of these heads plus 3 complete engines. They remind me of the Wayne Jimmy 6, an added bonus is they are quite a bit cheaper. The Green version is a refined version of the Spurgin/Giovanine roadster and would be powered by a '25 Chev 4. SO what does the HAMB say? Thanks in advance Jimmy Option A Option B
Neither. So sorry. If you would change your background color from your ideas-sure would help to decide.
jeeeeez ... Another fuckin decision . Iam going to have to think on this one . Be on the morning shift.
I really like both but just the thought of hearing the open headers with 6 pipes out the side just did it for me big time ! Retro Jim
Thanks for the input guys. I am leaning towards the maroon drag roadster. this project will have a hand fabricated body so I can build another body for the other. It is just I have the parts to build either and I am pretty evenly split 53% to 47% in favour of the drag version I will wait till the poll ends in 2 weeks to make my final decision. Cheers Jimmy
It really depends - which one has the L300 front end and the SBC with factory injection converted to propane, T350 and Centura rear???? Oh damn ....... wrong board. I would have to go with the Drag Roadster too - you've done the lakes car, and ooohhhhh don't this 6 pipes just look the best! Ultimately it's up to you, I love the renderings. Keep a tally on how many times you look at each one, and this will help you decide.
A'd be a blast but (although you have the Ford donks and I'm kinda missin' the point) I'd go with a "stovebolt" or even a side plate Holden with all the hop-up bits I could lay my hands on. Not as powerful but very cool IMO. BTW, those pipes are bitchin!
I like the B version, but maybe with exhaust(s) coming out of the hood side, and maybe a single pipe running along the side of the car.
The pipes in 'A' are cool but based on wheel selection i'd have to say 'B' is my favorite. I'm happy to see you have some spare crossflow heads, My first car was a crossflow powered falcon after warping the second head it made way for a cleveland!
