    41 Stovebolt

IMG_0002.JPG I just picked up a 1941 Chevy Coupe a week ago. It is pretty much all original. It was repainted in the early 1980s. It has the 216 with the three on the tree.
I have been a GM parts guy since the early 80s. When I picked up this car the older gentleman had never titled the vehicle when he purchased it seven years prior. I tracked down the mans name on the title and asked him if he had any history on the car.

The man told me his grandfather purchased the car new. It was in his family from 1941 until 2011 when he sold it to the man I purchased it from. He remembered the car had 22,000 original miles. He told me it was always parked in the shed with a concrete floor. I was going to put a small block in it. But I'm going leave it 6volt, and add dual carbs and dual exhaust. I like old school.

My last two cars were a 1965 Impala SS 409 400 hp and a 1960 Impala 348 with 3 deuces. So it will be quite and adjustment to be driving 90 hp stovebolt.I look forward to learning and sharing.

    Welcome from Colorado.
I agree with you on your choice to leave it as is and hop up the 216 it's a beautiful car. There is a lot info on the HAMB to do just what you want. Congrats on your find.
