Been lurking here a while and finally registered and slipped in a few posts, and then tonight stumbled across one that said I needed to introduce myself, so here goes. I had an early interest in all things mechanical, got out of HS and being pretty handy already, started working in independent garages. an one Chevy place. Then maintained a fleet of vehicles for an oil co. for a few yrs. Got hit with a crippling form of arthritis, and ended up disabled at a young age (39). Since got interested in machining, and have gathered up an old toolroom lathe and a mill I have been playing with them. Had a few bad recent yrs. with my heart, but I have been feeling a little better lately. Might try to get a project going this spring when it warms up a little. I will be 60 this spring, so if I am ever going to do one I need to get started. Anyway, that gives you a little info about me, and hopefully I can contribute a little bit.
