Checking in.....have been lurker for a while, but finally decided to register and post a little. I have been in and out of the "hobby" since the 60s. I have always liked traditional hot rods and I despise the RR term. Rats have always been vermin to me and back in the day, street rods were hot rods. I owned a 40 Chevy 2dr with a 394 Olds and a Hydro as a family car and my work car was a lime metallic green 40 Ford coupe with gold flames. It had a 283 and Power Glide. Later years we had Vettes, Trans Ams, GTOs, etc, but I always wanted another hot rod of some kind, so this site gives me plenty of material to think about. I am now retired, so there is a traditional hot rod or custom in the future. Not sure what yet, but something interesting will come along I'm sure. Great site......tons of knowledge and a little attitude. I like it.
