I have been on this site for over a year never introduced myself.I am a son of a hardcore fiftys hotrodder and been around cars my whole life. I like front engine dragsters fifty style lead sleds and hot rods and vintage sprint cars and modifieds. I am currently working on a 23t building from scratch no kit and just inherited 49 dodge wayfarer sedan with original 230 six from my dad. the 49 will be on the road soon 50s style custom.
Alright another lucky Wayfarer owner! Got a 50 Wayfarer convertible that I'm tinkering with. Let us know what you do to it.
Welcome from Florida. Good luck on your projects. Way back in the dark ages my first car was a 1949 Dodge Coronet coupe. Lived with grandparents and wanted a 49-51 Mercury or Ford. Uncle decided a six with Fluid drive was a better car for me. I hated that car. But learned to love and customize it. Still like the looks of those Dodge and Plymouths. Get it on the road.
first car I drove with my license was a 49 dodge coupe, don't know the style, vacume shift. got my first ticket in it 2 days after getting my license.........
Couldn't have been for speeding. Unless you were in the city park! Back seat was cosey with the front seat back tilted forward. Real nice for watching drive-in movies.
